Contractors State License Board (CSLB) recently revised the C-10 trade exam and has added Photovoltaic (PV) power systems to the content of the exam. This topic is new to the State's exam and is not currently covered by the C-10 course. Our new Photovoltaic supplement should familiarize students with the basics of PV systems and their installation.
The Photovoltaic Supplement covers:
- Systems' classification and choice
- System Output
- Mounting Options
- Installation
- Maintenance and Operation
- Electrical Code Summaries
- Definitions
Our Electrical (C-10) Contractors' course briefly covers the major topics of the State exam including Basic Electrical Theory, Electrical Materials, Electrical Tools, Equipment, and Meters, and Plan and Circuit Symbols. The course also includes summaries from National Electrical Code and Review Questions. The last section of the Electrical Manual covers the Health and Safety Orders.
The course includes 4 practice exams and an update as well as Computer-Assisted Practice Tests. Practice exams help students prepare and learn what to expect at the CSLB exam. It is important to read and understand each question, and read every word of the explanations. It is necessary to learn the principles behind the quesiton because the State may change the wording of their questions or answers at any time.
